Anna – Founder of Sensory Nest Childminder
I have always been passionate about working with children. I studied in Poland for six years and hold two degrees in Creative Pedagogy in Education and Linguistics. As a Qualified Teacher with over 20 years of experience, I have worked in various educational settings, including a kindergarten, a special needs school, the Polish School in Cambridge, and as a leader of my own sensory, library, drama, and yoga classes for children.
I have completed two Montessori education courses and am deeply inspired by Maria Montessori’s philosophy. Independence, self-confidence, creativity, respect for nature, and sensory-based learning are values I integrate into both my own children’s upbringing and the care I provide at Sensory Nest.
I originally created this space to meet the needs of my own children, but I am incredibly happy to now share my passion with other families.
At Sensory Nest, I offer a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where children have access to a Montessori playroom with a kitchen corner and a sensory/quiet room for rest when needed. We spend time outdoors in the garden, herb patch, and allotment, growing our own fruits and vegetables.
I provide a variety of engaging activities throughout the year and collaborate closely with parents to support each child’s development. I also take children on walks and visits to the library, local toddler groups, children’s centres, and parks to expand their learning experiences beyond the home setting.
